Faculty Scholars of the Institute for Health Policy and Leadership (IHPL) consist of select full-time faculty from the various Schools at Loma Linda University Health who are strongly committed to advancing the field of health policy and leadership through scholarly activities such as research, publications and inter-professional education. They are chosen based on specific selection criteria and must be approved by their respective Deans. Their appointments are renewed on an annual basis.
The group meets monthly to dialogue about pertinent policy issues, and the Scholars take turns presenting on a topic or leading a discussion on relevant journal articles. The Scholars also contribute to the Health Policy Connection blog and help to plan the Spotlight on Health Policy events. Through their participation in the Faculty Scholars Program, the scholars obtain opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, scholarly exchange, and further development in the field.
