The Institute for Health Policy and Leadership (IHPL) is Loma Linda University's only institute devoted entirely to innovative scholarship and service in health policy.

IHPL is committed to developing proactive solutions to the health challenges facing our region, our nation, and our world. By offering a collaborative approach to health policy, IHPL builds on the strength of the University's eight schools in concert with the six hospitals and the many clinics of our growing health system.

We also serve as the principal research and academic center for the Adventist Health Policy Association. Our goal is to provide proactive policy solutions with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention for whole communities. By educating diverse stakeholders, including health professionals, policy makers and the public, we plan to provide leadership in health policy in the 21st Century.

The Institute for Health Policy and Leadership (IHPL) strives to integrate health policy research and education with leadership development. Our goal is to improve the health of our communities by building on our strong heritage of health promotion and disease prevention.
